Calvados Pere Magliore. Is one of the oldest varieties of French brandy and can trace its origins back almost 500 years. Pere Magloire Calvados Pays d'Auge is distilled from cider and protected by the Appellations s'origine Contrilee. Its intense apple aromatic notes have put it in a league of its own and brought it worldwide renown. The history of Pere Magnloire, personified by a generous and genial innkeeper from Normandy, began in 1821. Pere Magloire was one of the first French tradenarks to be officially registered,. The high standards of quality combined with its respect for tradition soon made the brand famous throighout Paris. Since then eight generations of cellar Masters in succession have created their Calvados Pays d'Auge from several dozens of apple varieties. Each year, many vintages, produced from single or doouble distillation in ciooer stills, are blended in Pere Magloire's cellars and then lais to age in oak barrels.
