Original Greek Private Reserve Metaxa. In 1992, Constantinos Raptis became the fifth Metaxa Master and received carte blanche to reveal his very first personal creatrion. He created Metaxa Private Reserve by skillfully selecting remarkable blends at the unique conecttions of Muscat wines from Samos with exquisite aged grape distillates, some of which coming from the first distillery in Piracus. Since then, and only once a year, Constantinos Raptis releases a single batch of numbered decanters.
