CHARACTERISTICS: Rich, bold and concentrated Bordeaux from an all-time great vintage. Aromas of black fruit, tobacco, flint and dark spices erupt in the mouth, all wrapped around full, velvety tannins. Château Grange-Neuve is the type of classic, powerful, well-balanced Pomerol that has made the name one of the most admired in Bordeaux. A decisive wine that makes a big impression, it is best enjoyed with hearty dishes.

ABOUT THE WINEMAKER: Once part of Château Bourgneuf, near Château Trotanoy, the Gros family bought the first plot of Château Grange-Neuve in the late 19th century. Over the years, through a series of smaller purchases, they built up the vineyard land, which now extends to 18 hectares of vines, which were replanted in 1956. Harvesting is done by hand and completely without stems. The grapes are then stored in barrels for more than a month with frequent pumping. After the separation of the pressed wines, the wine is left to clarify naturally in barrels. All wines are then poured into oak barrels 3 months after harvest.
