Bowen Extra Cognac is a prestigious creation from the French cognac house Bowen, combining rich heritage, exceptionally long maturation and refined elegance. The story of the brand dates back to the early 20th century, when an ancestor of the current owner, René-Luc Chabasse, met the adventurous Elisabeth Bowen during his travels. Inspired by her love of nature and free spirit, he created a special cognac in her honour.
According to the supplier, this exceptional cognac is aged for at least 60 years in carefully selected oak barrels. Extended maturation gives it remarkable depth, complexity and a rich aromatic character. Particularly distinctive are the characteristics of Charentes rancio, an aromatic profile associated with very old cognacs that develops over decades of ageing.
It displays a deep amber colour. The bouquet reveals rich floral aromas, ripe fruit, dried flowers and delicate spices. On the palate, it is full-bodied, harmonious and velvety smooth, offering notes of sweet vanilla, chocolate and refined spices. The finish is exceptionally long, persistent and elegant.
Best enjoyed neat at room temperature to appreciate its full aromatic complexity, this cognac also pairs beautifully with dark chocolate and selected mature cheeses.
Presented in a luxurious leather-effect gift box that highlights its exclusive character, Bowen Extra Cognac is an outstanding choice for collectors, discerning cognac enthusiasts and the most prestigious corporate or personal gifts.
