Hennessy X.X.O Hors d'Âge Cognac is an exceptional creation from the renowned French House of Hennessy, combining rich heritage, outstanding craftsmanship and remarkable complexity. Its origins date back to 1870, when Master Blender Émile Fillioux selected exceptional eaux-de-vie with extraordinary ageing potential while developing Hennessy XO. This historic concept was revived in 2018 by Yann Fillioux, a seventh-generation Master Blender from the Fillioux family.

The X.X.O (Extra Extra Old) designation highlights the exceptionally long maturation of carefully selected eaux-de-vie in French oak barrels. The Hors d'Âge designation further reflects the prestigious character of this special expression. The result is a rich and multi-layered cognac that combines remarkable power, refinement and exceptional harmony.

It displays a luminous amber colour with warm golden reflections. The bouquet reveals intense aromas of bitter orange, freshly grated nutmeg, liquorice, dried peppermint and delicate spices. On the palate, it is rich, expressive and structured, yet exceptionally well-balanced, offering herbal, fruity and spicy nuances. The finish is remarkably long, elegant and persistent, with a pleasant warming spice character.

This cognac reveals its full complexity when enjoyed neat at approximately 18–20 °C. It pairs beautifully with dark chocolate, roasted nuts and selected aged cheeses.
