Mount Gay Barbados Rum 1703 Black Barrel Double casks Blend. Their estate comes from a unique terroir that they carefully use in making their rums. Unlike its volcanic neighbors, Barbados is almost entirely made up of coral. Their isolated and pristine location on the northern tip of the island gives them access to coral-filtered water from their original well. Only Barbadian and Caribbean molasses are fermented with a combination of proprietary and naturally occurring yeasts and then distilled using four different types of traditional pot and column copper stills. Their wide range of wooden barrels, combined with maturing in a tropical climate, results in a faster concentration of aromas and flavors in the liquid. More than three centuries of experience in making rich, aromatic rums give us the expertise and experience to set the tradition for the future of rum. Barrels: American whiskey and deep charred bourbon.
