Tomintoul 15 y.o. 2006 Port Cask Finish. Tomintoul Single Malt Scotch Whiskey is a testament to their Master Distiller Robert Fleming, whose family has been making whiskey in the Speyside-Glenlivet region for four generations. Carefully selected single malt distillation in 2006 and originally matured in an exceptional ex-bourbon American oak cask. The single malt in these casks has been expertly blended and then finished in the finest Port Pipe cask, which perfectly complements the Tomintoul Single Malt and delivers rich fruit flavors that highlight the character and complexity of their whisky. Nose: Marascino cherries and cooked fruit mixed with tonka spice, chocolate flakes and cedar. Taste: Sweet and delicious with layers of chocolate from cherry liqueur, rhubarb crumble and ginger cookies bound with baking spices. Finish: warming notes of dark chocolate, sultanas and mocha, fading into a glow of cloves and cinnamon.
