Speyside Glenlivet Single Malt Scotch Whisky Small Batch Pinot Noir Cask Finish. This small batch bottling of Tomintoul has been created by specially selecting Tomintoul aged in exceptional ex-bourbon American oak barrels, which are then married and finished in hand selected Pinot Nooir wine barrels from Burgundy. This process of "finishing" creates a beautifully rich, complex and full-flavoured single malt. Smell is like a bouquet of summer berries and red grapes bound with filo pastry, baking spices and salted caramel. Taste is sweet layers of baked strawberry, blackcurrant liquorice, glace cherries and oat flapjacks structured with tobacco and oak spice. For finish you feel warming clove and wood spices mingled with bramble, vanilla pod and ginger biscuits.
