Masso Antico Le Anfore wine
Origin: Italy
Year: 2022
CHARACTERISTICS: Masso Antico Le Anfore, Bio, aged in amphora.History tells us in words and pictures how amphorae have been used to store wine since ancient times. First, this technique appeared in Greece, and then, thanks to the Etruscans, it spread to Italy. As is often the case, a return to the origin is enough to look forward; and thus the "Le Anfore" project was born to give life to a new harmonious balance between wine and nature. After vinification, the wine is aged in cacciopesto amphorae, and the result is a complex and balanced product.Masso Antico Le Anfore best expresses all the characteristics of Apulia and this double aging in cocciopesto amphorae and in oak barrels.
ABOUT THE WINEMAKER: Winemakers Daniele Ress and Carlo Filippi follow the entire production with passion. Thanks to extensive knowledge of the many terroirs and climates throughout the country, Masso Antico wines are an excellent reflection of the land in which they are produced. Masso Antico wines are produced by the Italian Schenk cellars, which were founded in 1952 and are among the leading producers and exporters of Italian wines. Two winemakers, five oenologists and highly qualified staff take care of the entire production process. A long-term partnership with a number of carefully selected grape growers throughout Puglia means that the best fruit is selected to make Masso Antico wines.
