Nikka Coffey Malt whiskey. Color: golden. Nose: lively and persistent. Totally fresh and citrusy. An ode to lemon, which is barely calmed down by the sweet Williamovka. Refined pepper notes and a touch of balsamic vinegar blend together with softer vanilla scents. Taste: Just like the smell, its liveliness is maintained by citrus aromas (clementine, orange), which challenge the more tempting notes of coffee, praline, "bobo au rhum" and vanilla cream. Aromas of prunes, mirabelle and greens develop surprisingly, giving the wrong impression of eau-de-vie. Finish: Expands to notes of prunes and mirabelle without batting an eye. Licorice emerges briefly before the fruit takes center stage.
