Štrukelj Sparkling Wine
ORIGIN: Slovenia, Vipava Valley
SUGAR: dry
GRAPE VARIETIES: 50% Chardonnay, 50% Rebula
CHARACTERISTICS: a high-quality, very dry sparkling wine made from Chardonnay and Rebula. It features a delicate golden-yellow hue and larger, dense bubbles. The bouquet reveals notes of butter, white flowers, dried fruit, yeast, and bread crust, complemented by fresh floral and fruity aromas. On the palate, the wine is elegant, fresh, and balanced, with ripe acidity and a long finish of bread and roasted hazelnuts. It makes an excellent aperitif and pairs beautifully with seafood, sushi, light salads, and fruit desserts. This sparkling wine won a silver medal at the international "Glass of Bubbly – Champagne and Sparkling Wine" competition in London.
ABOUT THE WINEMAKER: the Štrukelj family has been involved in viticulture for approximately three decades. They began their journey with Malvazija, later adding Chardonnay and Rebula, and in recent years, Merlot. Today, they cultivate around 3,500 vines in a vineyard located in the Vipava Valley, near the Vogršček reservoir. The vineyard's location and the family's dedicated work enable the production of high-quality grapes, which have been used to craft their sparkling wine for about a decade. Štrukelj Sparkling Wine represents the culmination of the family's tradition, expertise, and commitment to creating elegant sparkling wines.
SERVING SUGGESTION: an excellent choice for special occasions such as weddings, birthdays, and other celebrations, as well as an aperitif. Serve well-chilled at 4–6°C to fully bring out its aromas and freshness.
