ABOUT THE WINEMAKER: Burn Cottage is a 28 hectare vineyard, farm and estate at the foot of the Pisa Ranges in Central Otago, New Zealand. There were no immediate neighbors of the vineyards and there are none. The city was very popular in the region, as it is protected from the north and south winds by large hills and forms a beautiful, sheltered bowl, similar to a modern amphitheater. This is a phenomenal Pinot Noir growing area and they firmly believe that great wines are not made from fruit; they are born from the soil that nurtures the vines and produces wines with minimal intervention.
