CHARACTERISTICS: Quality dry white wine PGI Vipavska Dolina.A high-quality red wine with a dark ruby ​​color and an elegant flower, full of flavor, which is very suitable for aging in wooden barrels, especially small barriques. Grapes that are optimally ripe are harvested by hand. It is cooled in chambers at 4°C for at least 1 day, then ground into larger containers and macerated for 2-3 weeks using a cold maceration process. After that, the slurry is squeezed and drained in stainless steel containers. At the first flow, they pour into oak barrels, where the wine is left for at least 2 years. The wine is then bottled.

WINNER DESCRIPTION: Viticulture with winemaking is the second pillar of their farm. They cultivate 6 hectares of vineyards, favoring indigenous white varieties such as Klarnica, Rebula, Zelen and Malvasia. They focused on the production of fresh and dry, but structurally rich young wines. In exceptional vintages, part of the grapes are macerated. It is an old process of "cooking" on pomace, which produces increasingly prized orange wines. The selection is complemented by red wines, partially aged in wooden barrels, and occasionally a specialty is also added.
