Wine Silveri Tenor
Year: 2018
Origin: Slovenia
GRAPE VARIETY: Merlot, Cabernet Franc
CHARACTERISTICS: A unique red blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc. A wine with a silver fingerprint. The taste of a bouquet of torn plums, dark berries, red cherries, which gradually pass into the sand of warm jams, leather and tobacco. The taste is very soft and rich. Strong structure with a perceptibly pleasant freshness. Full body with a structured aftertaste. The wine has a long-lasting harmonious development and excellent maturation potential.
Poetry between Merlot and Cabernet Franc. Their family's long-standing wine combination. The red variety was named after the color of the voice of the founder of the winery, Silveri Vuga. The Tenor blend consists of 70% Merlot from the Muško vineyard, 45-year-old vines and 30% Cabernet Franc from the Gmajna vineyard, 25-year-old vines. Their rule for red wine is to combine the two most iconic Brisica varieties. Elegant Merlot and spicy wild Cabernet Franc. Everything else is poetry.
ABOUT THE WINEMAKER: One of the reasons their sparkling wines and wines are special is the soil. Opoka or flysch enriches their landscape, where nature and culture intertwine for generations. All this enriches their passion and daily work. Their sparkling wines and wines rest there, between the thick walls of the old part of Solkan. All the cellar work is carried out there, so that their sparkling wines and wines can radiate the style that symbolizes our character. The property of the Gašparin family also extends to the neighboring region of Vipava Valley. A fabulous location with an emphasis on food, sparkling wine and wine.
