CHARACTERISTICS:  A lighter white wine known for relatively high acidity and lots of citrus. It is a great wine to pair with dishes that are lighter but still full of flavor. The herbal qualities that we perceive in wine are often also tasted on the plate. ABOUT THE WINNER: Their story begins in 1972 in a small village near Slovenska Bistrica. At that time, 3,000 Sauvignon and Laški Riesling vines were planted on part of the estate, which later became the basis for the pride of Styria - Ritoznojčan PTP wine. With the ever-increasing demand for wine, the solution was very simple - increase the quantity of wine and raise its quality. They restored the existing vines and added a new plantation, Laški Riesling, Sauvignon, Chardonnay, Blue Pinot, Yellow Muscat and Gray Pinot varieties, a total of ten thousand vines.
