Alvia Bodegas Livius Tempranillo wine
Origin: Spain
GRAPE VARIETY: Tempranillo
CHARACTERISTICS: To make this first-class wine, the fruit is hand-harvested from 100-year-old vines. It is aged for 18 months in French, Hungarian and American oak barrels before bottling. The result is a wine with an intense cherry color and no less intense taste. So there's depth of ripe fruit, intriguing minerality, cask notes with chocolate and caramel and, on top of it all, great structure. Refined, intense mouthfeel, strong flavor and an excellent, long finish. This is something you must try. Best with roasted vegetables, corn dishes, grilled meats or Mexican food.
ABOUT THE WINEMAKER: Located on the Camino de Santiago, their winery uses a completely artisanal process to produce wines from their own vineyards that are over 100 years old. Harvesting is done by hand in small crates, so that the grapes arrive in the cellar in optimal conditions and thus maintain the appropriate quality for the production of their wines. With this passion and care, they offer two ranges of wines with different characteristics, but with the same spirit of respect for the vine as the origin of all exceptional wines.
